Ahh....Sunday rides, you got to love them...
Hello everybody, hope you all had a great weekend. Well let me tell you about our last SUNDAY RIDE, which was the 12th of June.
First off we had a great ride. Walter my spin instructor from the YMCA was there, along with Diane, Mike, Chris (The hill king) and Penny (Also another hill person). The weather was great, a bit windy, but over all it was great. We started out on our ride about 9:20am. Every thing was going great, that is until yours truly ended up with not one, but TWO FLATS. That's right two of them. Right in a row. I knew something was wrong, I kept on hearing a "HISSING" sound coming from my rear tire. I stopped and yes indeed it was going flat FAST. We all pulled over and waited for me to fix it. It took all of us to fix that tire from hell. After what looked like FOREVER it was done. I then jumped on the bike rode 10 feet down the road and "BOOM" the tire exploded. Yes my second flat. I knew this was going to be a LONG ride. After fixing this flat, we were on our way. We stopped for coffee and a much needed break. After that we made good time back to "Old Town Bicycle". We got back around 12:22PM. Over all the ride was great, minus the two flat tires.
Next week we do it again. Looks like we MAY have good weather. Hope to see you all out there.
Remember wear clean underwear, hug a friend and have fun on the road.
Tracy
