Sunday Ride at 9, April 23rd, 2006

Well hello everybody. Penny aka "Ms. Hard Headed" and myself went to Mt. Vernon to do the Tulip Ride. It was so FUN. You guys miss a great ride. We meet in Seattle at the Mars Hill Church. We meet a great group of people from the church. The group leader was a very nice lady named "Ali Wick". We had a 15 mile ride and a 30 mile ride. Penny and I did the 30 mile ride. The ride was fast, at one point we hit 28 miles per hour. WOW. We also encountered a very strong head wind on our way to the field of flowers. On our way back, much less head wind. The flowers were absolutely beautiful. Over all the ride was great fun.

Penny and I will be there at 9am for the ride at 9. The weather is going to be great. So bring plenty of water and some cash for coffee.

That's about all for now, see ya in the morning have to hit the hay, I'm beat.

Wear clean undies, hug a friend and I will see ya on the road.
Tracy
P.S. Enjoy the picture of our ride...

Pedal through the Petals on Saturday April 22nd

Hello gang, I hope you all are having a great week. I have some news on a bike ride this Saturday April the 22nd. I found this information in the Ballard paper. This is how it goes:

On April 22nd, Brandon Talley is Leading a cycling tour through the tulip fields. Cyclists will meet at Mars Hill Church in Ballard at 8 a.m. and carpool up to Mt. Vernon. Participants can choose either the 15 or 30-mile course and should bring $10 for gas and money for lunch in La- Conner.

For more information on this ride, please e-mail Talley at
btalley@spu.edu. Mars Hill is located at 1401 NW Leary Way, Seattle.

What do you guys think? We could meet at "Old Town Bicycle" at 7 a.m. and Drive up here to Ballard for this ride. They say the ride is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The weather is going to be great, but may be a bit breeze. NOW, I know this is early in the morning, but it seems like a lot of fun. If you guys don't want to do this ride, I have another in mind. The Western Chehalis Trail. This trail is in Olympia and David, Rat Man and myself did this ride last summer. Boy this trail is all paved and covered in trees. We had a blast on this ride.

So fellow riders, what will it be??? The Pedal Through the Petals, which I think we should do, or the Chehalis Trails, which is a lot of fun also? If we do the Chehalis thing, we will start later, like at 9 a.m., meet at "old Town Bicycle" and carpool up there.

So let me know what you guys want to do under the comments on this blog.

Tracy
PS. I rode last Sunday if you can believe that, but no one else was there. It was very windy.
