The ride at 9 on June 18

Hello everybody and welcome at last, to another story of the ride at 9. Well today I was able to at last get out on the road. We did the Puyallup ride again. I have not been on my bike for 4 weeks. I felt like I was going to just die. Ivan and David was there to do the ride. We took off like a bat out of hell. We did about 23 miles per hour right from the start. I was yelling to slow down. This was not a race. Ivan just started laughing at me saying "Well since you are new to riding...blah, blah, blah". He will get his.... I have picture of Ivan, they will be posted in a little bit. David had his camera, thank god, so we have a few shots to share.

On another note, Ray...aka "Rat Man" left a message on the blog letting us all know that he is alive and well and will be riding with us again. He is in nursing school right now and will be graduating in a few weeks, can't wait to see his. We also have word on Chris...aka "Hill King". Chis has been a very busy person so far this year. In fact, he was in the Tacoma News Tribune this past weekend. Chris has not been riding with us because he has been painting. Not houses or walls, but canvases, and store front signs. He is well on his way to becoming a big time artist. So now we can say we knew him when he was not FAMOUS....

Well that's it for now. Next week is the Tour De Pierce. There web site is www.piercecountywa.org/parks. David wants to know who is ready for this ride. They have a 12 mile route, a 30 mile route and the 50 mile course. That is ride we did last year. In fact, we are featured in the flyer for this years ride. Go check out there web site for more information.

Until next time, wear clean undies, hug a friend and I will see ya on the road.

PS. We also saw Kathie bouncing down the street in front of "Old Town Bicycles", she had some sort of shoe on that let her bounce high in the air. You go girl. Hope to see ya on a bike soon.
